Background:
Berberine-containingquadrupletherapy(addingberberinetothestandardtripletherapy)isbeingusedtotreatHelicobacterpyloriinfection,buttheeffectsinrandomizedcontrolledtrials(RCTs)arestillcontroversial.Therefore,ameta-analysisisneededtoestimatetheefficacyandsafetyofberberine-containingquadrupletherapyonHelicobacterpylorieradication.
背景：
含小檗碱的四联疗法（在标准的三联疗法中加入小檗碱）已被用于治疗幽门螺杆菌感染，但其在随机对照试验（RCTs）中的效果仍存在争议。因此，需要进行meta分析来评估含小檗碱的四联疗法对根除幽门螺杆菌的有效性和安全性。
Methods:
Tendatabasesweresearchedtofindtheavailableliterature.RCTsabouttheefficacyandsafetyofberberine-containingquadrupletherapyonHelicobacterpylorieradicationwereincluded.ThedataofHelicobacterpylorieradicationrate,pepticulcerhealingrate,relievingrateofclinicalsymptomsandadverseeventswereextractedtoappraisethenetchangewithafixedorrandomizedeffectmodel.
方法：
检索了10个数据库以寻找可用的文献。纳入了关于含小檗碱的四联疗法对根除幽门螺杆菌的有效性和安全性的RCTs。记录幽门螺杆菌根除率、消化性溃疡愈合率、临床症状缓解率和不良事件等数据，用固定或随机效应模型评估净变化。
Results:
Atotalof13articleswereincludedintheanalysis.PooledresultsshowedthattheadditionofberberineinstandardtripletherapysignificantlyimprovedHelicobacterpylorieradicationrate(RR1.22;95%CI1.16to1.27;I2=12%),increasedthepepticulcerhealingrate(RR1.15;95%CI1.10to1.19;I2=44%),relievedtheclinicalsymptoms(RR1.11;95%CI1.06to1.17;I2=44%)andreducedtheincidenceofsideevents(RR0.65;95%CI0.53to0.80;I2=58%)
